How Art Clay Silver is
changed to pure silver:


	Art Clay Silver is made of finely powdered pure silver, water, and binders. When heated to 800-850 degrees C., the organic binders burn off, leaving a pure silver piece.

There Are three types of Art Clay Silver: Clay, Paste and Syringe


	Although jewelry pieces are usually made from one type of Art Clay Silver, you can combine two or three types in one piece for a broader range of effects.

Steps in using Art Clay Silver:

DRYING

Shape the clay. Use molds, found textures......

Let dry normally

AMENDING


	After it has dried to the touch, cut or add clay. Sand and finish the dry clay as much as possible.

COMPLETE DRYING

FIRING

FINISHING


	Before heating, dry at room temperature for about 24 hours or at 100 degrees C. for 30 minutes. or use hairdryer etc.

	Heat to 1600 degrees F. for 20-30 minutes.

	Polish using a wire brush, water-resistant paper, finishing spatula, buff, etc.
